Raclette-style Potato Roll

Preparation :

Preheating the oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C.
Preparation of the base: In a blender, put the grated Gruyere cheese, onion, raw potatoes cut into pieces, eggs, salt and pepper. Mix everything for 5 seconds at speed 5 to obtain a homogeneous preparation.
Cooking the base: Spread this preparation on a baking tray covered with parchment paper, forming a uniform rectangle. If available, use a silicone sponge cake plate. Bake for 25 minutes.
Filling and assembly: Once the base is cooked, let it cool. Then, place the slices of ham and the raclette cheese cut into slices on the surface.
Rolling: Gently roll the preparation to form a sausage. Make sure the potatoes are cool enough before rolling to prevent the roll from breaking.
Final cooking: Return the roll to the oven for 10 minutes.
Serving: Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Choose potatoes that hold up well when cooked, such as varieties for steamed salad or hash browns.
This recipe is versatile and allows for topping variations according to your tastes, such as zucchini, eggplant or mozzarella.
